About Tang Soo Doo
Rules and Regulations
- On Entering the Training Hall
- Students should bow to the Instructor
- Starting Class
- The Instructor should centre himself in front of the class
- Students line up according to rank, most senior to the right
- Senior student should check for correct attire in members before
calling the commands:
- Attention - Salute the Flag - Meditation - Bow to the Instructor
- During Class
- Proper respect and discipline should be maintained at all times
- When the instructor enters the Do Jang, the senior student should
call the class to attention and have the class bow
- Students arriving late should wait by the entrance to be
reconised by the instructor
- Students must gain permission from the instructor to leave the
training hall
- Silence in the Training Hall
- Students seated on the sidelines must be silent to avoid
disturbing those practising
- Spectators must not eat or smoke in the Do Jang
- Students seated on the floor should keep a good posture
- Salutation
- Much importance is placed on salutation or bowing. It portrays
humility and respect to instructors, senior members and opponents
